Charles Nannie

Charles Larry Nannie, 77, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab in Salisbury after a brief period of declining health.

Charles "Uncle Sonny" was born September 10, 1940 in Rowan County as one of 11 children to the late Robert and Martha Nannie.  He was also preceded in death by wife, Erleen Nannie; brothers, Eugene and Doyce Nannie; sisters, Edna Goodwin and Audrey Nannie.

He is remembered for his good nature and humor by those who knew him best.  Charles "Uncle Sonny" asked God to forgive his sins shortly before his death.

Charles is survived by two brothers, Joseph and Andrew Nannie; four sisters, Rebecca Sechler, Nora Kneip, Lois Miller and Julia Thompson; and many nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord.
