Charles Simpson

Charles Ray Simpson, 63 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home in Albemarle.

Charles "Charlie" was born March 24, 1954 in Stanly County to the late Floyd Lamont Simpson and the late Maggie Lucy Jane Lanier Simpson.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:15 pm, Friday, November 24, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 7:30 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Cecil Pickler.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Joann Whitley Simpson of Albemarle; son, Floyd (Lou Anne) Simpson of Locust; daughter, Misty Simpson Drye of Albemarle; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Wayne and Eddie Simpson, and one sister, Doris Edwards.
