Charles Smith

Charles Ray Smith, 61 of Charlotte, died Sunday, August 24th 2014 at his home.

Mr. Smith was born April 18th, 1953 in Stanly County to the late Charles Keith Smith and Kathleen S. Love, who now resides in Stanfield, NC. He was preceded in death by wife, Beverly Connell Smith.

Charles was a loving daddy, grandpa, brother, nephew, and friend. He loved his family very much, and shared what he had with others. He served his country in the Army National Guard, and was employed by Carolina Wholesale in Charlotte, NC.

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm officiated by Rev. Rodney Quesenbury. Military honors will be conducted by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. At other times, the family will meet at the home of his mother, Kathleen Love in Stanfield.

Survivors include two daughters, Candice Smith Crisco and Amber Dawn Smith, both of Oakboro; granddaughter, Emily Crisco; two sisters, Kathy Smith Burns (Danny) of Greensboro, and Vivian Love Furr of Stanfield.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Smith family.
