Charles Tucker

Charles Lane Tucker, 78 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at his home.

Lane was born April 22, 1937 in Cabarrus County to the late Alvin Ranson Tucker and the late Ruby Lee Scott Tucker Kiker. He was also preceded in death by three brothers.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry. The burial will be at the First Baptist Cemetery, 4720 Garmon Mill Rd., Midland. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joan Madge Rush Tucker; daughters, Teresa Williams, Mary Lee (Bobby) Ford, Elaine (Randy) Eblen, Susan (Danny) Beckham, Cheryl (Curtis) Markland; son, Jeff (Tamara) Biggers; eight brothers; four sisters; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Lane loved his family, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and caring for his animals.
