Charles Wayne Ridenhour, 68, of Richfield, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home.
Wayne was born October 28, 1951 in Stanly County to the late Charles Luther Ridenhour and Christine Ellis Culp Ridenhour. He is also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Shirley Ridenhour; brother-in-law, Wayne Edwards; and father-in-law, Bobby Kirk.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 3:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Richard Johnson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Regina Kirk Ridenhour of the home; sons, Gerald Palmer, II, Britt (Connie) Palmer; sisters, Kaye (Robert) Goodman, Karen Edwards; brother, Roger Ridenhour; grandchildren, Jeremy Elkins, Michaela Palmer, Chesney Palmer; great-granddaughter, Aimee Elkins; mother-in-law, Bonnie Kirk; brother-in-laws, Doug (Donna) Kirk, Cammie (Michelle) Kirk; numerous nieces and nephews; and fur babies, Bruiser, Daisy, and Rowdy.
Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a renowned stone mason; and loved hunting, fishing, and the mountains.
The Ridenhour family would like to extend a special thank you to Jennifer and Beth with Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie for their compassionate care.
