Charles "Pete" Newton

Charles "Pete" Julius Newton, 75, of Concord, NC passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Pete was born January 29, 1944 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Buford Newton and the late Virginia Newton.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Priscilla S. Newton of the home; son, Kenny Simpson and wife Lori; daughter, Lisa Faine and husband Billy; daughter, Crystal Maxwell and husband David; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brother, Jerry "Butch" Newton; and sister, Doris Jenkins; as well as one niece and two nephews.

Pete was a loving husband, father and he adored his grandkids and great grandkids.  He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 10  at 11 a.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord, officiated by Rev. Tim Newton.  Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery in Concord.
