Charlie Johnson

Charlie Junior Johnson, 71, of Concord, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020.

Charlie was born November 24, 1948 in Cabarrus County to the late Charlie H. and Lillie Johnson.  He was also preceded in death by sisters, Betty J. Miller and Pauline R. Harkey; and brother, Alfred D. Rosman.

Charlie was saved and baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Concord.  He graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in 1967.  Charlie began working with his uncles, Reuben Linker and John B. Linker, on the farm along with Hugh Barbee.  He also worked with Coble Dairy, Murdock Masonry, Cabarrus Construction, Ronnie Kiser Masonry and his own company, Johnson Masonry.  Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  He loved stock car racing.  He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include son, Casey Johnson of Midland, and Casey's mother, Betty Morgan of Midland; sisters, Ruby J. Gabriel and Mary J.Skidmore; nieces, Carol H. Yoder, Cindy H. Chambers, Penny R. Foil, Lisa Gabriel and Emily Gabriel; nephews, William B. Gabriel, John Skidmore Jr., Vaughn Rosman and Jerry R. Miller.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
