Cheryl Howell

Cheryl Howell, 53, of Concord, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012, at her home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012, in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Oakboro Cemetery. At other times the family will meet at the home at 780 King Fredrick Lane, Concord, NC. Mrs. Howell was born on July 24, 1958, to Shirley Mae Arnold McSwain and the late Melvin Herbert Murray. In addition to her mother and stepfather, Shirley and Belmont McSwain, she is survived by her husband of 22 years, Russell Howell; her son, Matthew Ridenhour and wife Jessica; her daughter, Amy Tracy and husband, Mark; a stepsister, Beteena Shank and husband, Mark; and three grandchildren, Caitlin and Harlow Ridenhour and Landon Tracy.
