Christene Mccall

Christene Tucker McCall, age 85, of Oakboro passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Trinity Place in Albemarle. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. At other times the family will be meeting at the home of her son, Ronald McCall and wife Pam. The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church at 4 PM, with Pastor Doyle Holder and Pastor Charlie Littlejohn officiating. She will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Christene was born in Oakboro on May 13, 1928 to the late Millard Thomas Tucker and the late Minnie Faye Burris Tucker Simpson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wallace McCall in 1996. She is survived by sons, Jack Wallace McCall, Jr. of Locust, Millard “Mickey” Christopher McCall of Locust, Douglas Eugene McCall of Locust, Ronald Kent McCall of Oakboro, Jimmy Allen McCall of Locust, Thomas “Tommy” Edward McCall of Oakboro; daughters, Sandra McCall Baucom of Concord, Veronica McCall Whitley of Oakboro; brothers, John Thomas “Tommy” Tucker of Oakboro, J.D. Hinson of Oakboro; sisters, Hazel Helms of Matthews, Carrie Lee Walker of Kannapolis; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, P. O.
