Christine Jones

Christine Marie Blackney Jones, 62 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Christine was born January 6, 1952 in Washington to the late Boyd R Blackney and the late Carol Marie Bowen Blackney.

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

The funeral service, officiated by Father Dionne,will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at St. James The Greater Catholic Church, 139 Manor Ave. SW, Concord. The burial will follow at the St. James The Greater Catholic Church Cemetery at 2323 Gold Hill Rd., Concord.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Richard Eric Jones of the home; sons, Eric Morris and wife Terry of Raleigh, and Kenneth Morris of Concord; daughter, Rebecca Clay and husband Mike of Concord; five grandchildren; brothers, David Blackney of Robbinsville, Kenny Blackney of Gastonia; and sisters, Ann Benteen of Kansas City, MO, and Peggy Blackney of Pineville.
