Christine Morrison

Christine Dulin Morrison, 88, of Midland, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Mrs. Morrison was born January 30, 1931 in Mecklenburg County to the late Martin Odell Dulin and the late Shannon Abernethy Dulin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Ed" Linley Morrison; brothers, Odell Dulin, Jr., Walter Lee Dulin, Adrian Dulin; and twin sister, Josephine Wike.

Survivors include daughters, Wanda (David) Hill, Shannon (Steve) Bell, Denise (Terry) Beachum, Lorra Morrison (Mike Morgan), and Kristi Eudy (Matt Gimber); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carol Haigler "the 6th daughter", for the loving care she has given to both Christine, and Ed before his passing.

Christine had an unconditional devotion to her family. She loved nothing more than "building memories and gaining experiences" with her children and grandchildren. Christine was active in her community as a Girl Scout Leader, Kindergarten Teacher, and a member of United Methodist Women's Association of Bethel Church. She and her husband, Ed were charter members of the Carolina Jaybird Camping Club and enjoyed over 25 years of camping and fellowship with them. Christine was an avid sports fan, particularly the Atlanta Braves and Charlotte Hornets.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday, December 30, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 11:00 am  at Bethel United Methodist Church at 12700 Idlebrook Road in Midland officiated by Rev. Mark Clontz. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
