Christopher David Bowman, 23, of Rockwell, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.
Chris was born April 14, 1994 in Gastonia to David Ralph Bowman and Michelle Goude Krum. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Doug and Vicki Goude.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 1260 N. College St., Mt. Pleasant. The funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 6:00 pm in the church sanctuary, officiated by Pastor Nick Newman. At other times, the family will be gathering at his mother's home.
He is survived by his mother, Michelle Krum of Concord; father, David Bowman of Charlotte; sister, Karley Bowman of Charlotte; brother, Ryan Saubier of Rockwell; paternal grandparents, Ted Bowman and wife Marge of St. Paul, MN and Dori Bowman of Charlotte; and step-father, Frank Saubier of Rockwell.
Chris was a caring and loving son, grandson, brother, and friend. He lived his life to the fullest, and was good at anything he put his mind to. He lived an active and adventurous life racing motor cross and wrestling. He also enjoyed spending time working out and playing sports. Chris had given his life to Jesus, and attended Elevation Church. Although Chris was quiet at first upon meeting new people, once they got to know him they were drawn to him. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.
