At the age of 50, Christopher Murray escaped this physical realm on June 14th, 2020 after complications from a radioactive spider bite that led to years of insane ninja moves and crime fighting. Civilians may know him as the legendary Spider-Man and you can thank him later for his years of protecting your cities.
To his family and friends, he was known as the funny, free spirited, loving and unique Chris. Chris was known for his wild and vividly detailed and entertaining stories. He loved life, every part of it and was a hard worker. He applied his best to whatever job he held. From working on a farm, the lumber yard, warehouse positions, being the event manager of the New England Patriots (His favorite team by the way) or being a 5-star chef, he always would say “I love my job” no matter the title.
Chris, was a foodie as they call it, he loved to cook and eat; especially seafood with a nice cold beer. Fishing was another passion of his and he loved being near the water, whether that be a beach or a lake. Although his list of passions and favorites can be made into a book, one thing he hated for sure was North Carolina, but that may have only been because Carolinians aren’t Patriots fans and he could never find good Chinese food.
In high school in Kingston, MA he made lifelong bonds in his break-dancing crew performing on stage at talent shows and in front of Hollywood names while telling his crew to “keep their cool.” Everyone wanted to be him and crowned Mr. Murray the break-dancing king. He was also an extremely talented musician playing instruments such as the piano and guitar with ease. Adding on to his list of talents he was also a talented rapper and went by the name Rap Diamonds, spending hours and years perfecting his craft and leaving behind amazing songs and ballads.
He had a personal and intimate relationship with God, would wake up some mornings and read scriptures from his bible and would often go to church (another reason to get dressed up which he loved to do as well)
Chris was, is and will always be very loved and greatly missed by his family, Mother Geraldine and Father Purcell, Sisters Jay and Angie, Brothers Darian and Richard, a host of aunts, cousins, grandparents, nieces, nephews and too many friends to count. Most importantly, more than everything, he loved his children and there was not one conversation he would have with someone without bringing them up. His biggest accomplishments, Daughters Alexa and Marisa, Son Chris Jr. and 3 grandchildren.
