Chrystal Smart

Chrystal Lynn “Chris” Smart, age 57 of Concord, NC passed away on March 17, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast in Concord. A visitation will be Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Prospect Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Prospect Baptist Church. The Reverends Stoney Benfield, Darrell Huneycutt and Frank Thompson will officiate. At other times the family will be meeting at the home of her mother, Cora Lee Crisco, 524 N. 5th Street in Albemarle. Ms. Smart was born in Stanly County on July 22, 1953 to the late George B. Smart Jr. and Cora Lee Smart Crisco. She is survived by two daughters, Shannon Graham and husband Wesley of Charlotte, Nikki Morton and husband Rodney of Albemarle, one son Alex Smart also of Albemarle; four grandchildren, Kaleigh Graham, Carter Graham, Brendan Cruz and Micah Morton; two sisters, Cathy S. Russell and husband David of Charlotte, Jackie S. Jernigan and husband Darrell of Albemarle; and one brother, George B. Smart III of Chicago IL. Chris was a 1971 graduate of Albemarle Senior High School. She graduated from Stanly Community College in 1987 with an Associate Degree of Nursing. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
