Clara Walter

Clara Lee Morgan Walter 84 of Cold Springs Road, Concord, NC, passed away on Friday September 30, 2011 at CMC- Northeast. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. on Sunday. October 2, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, NC. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Cold Springs United Methodist Church with a 30 minute state prior to the service. The Rev. Neil Haynes and Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born April 4, 1927 in Stanly County to the late Ervin and Rosanner Morgan, she was preceded in death by six brothers; Glenn, Hugh, Jack, J.C., Bill, and Lloyd Morgan, two sisters; Pauline Furr and Arlene Murray. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 63 years, Tony A.C. Walter, sons; Wayne and wife Rita and Terry and wife Jackie of Concord; grandchildren, Amy Measimer and husband Tiger, Jeff Walter and wife Carolina, and Aaron Walter all of Concord; three great-grandchildren; Laura, Cameron, and Mackenzie Measimer; one brother, Floyd Morgan of Washington DC and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of Cold Springs United Methodist Church and the Martha Avett Sub group. She retired from Earl’s Tire Store in 1990 as a bookkeeper and cashier. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose. Memorials may be made to Cold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2550 Cold Springs Road, Concord, NC 28025.
