Claude Strickland, Jr

Claude Franklin "Frank" Strickland, Jr., 69, of 338 Ponderosa Court Mooresville passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at his home. Born on April 12, 1942 in Bridgeport Connecticut to the late Claude Franklin, Sr. and Gaynell Smith Strickland. Frank served four years in US Air force after graduating from Concord High School in 1960. He was a technician for Lucent Technologies in Charlotte for 26 years. After retirement he was self-employed at South Lake Motors in Mooresville. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 1 until 2 PM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2 PM, with Rev. Tim Newton officiating. He is survived by his brother, Wayne Strickland of Charlotte, sister, Frances Cook of Concord, two nephews, two nieces and ten grand and great grand nephews and nieces.
