Claudette Love

Iris Claudette Brooks Love, age 79, of Oakboro, passed away Tuesday morning, September 5, 2017 in Concord, NC.

Mrs. Love has been involved with many churches over the years in all aspects of church music, specifically organ & piano. She was involved in the life of Oakboro Museum as one of its founding members & part of the Oakboro Library.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church Oakboro, 322 North Main Street, Oakboro, NC, officiated by Pastors Mark King & Jonathan Waits Family will receive friends following the service at the church and at other times at the parents’ home. Private burial will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her Loving husband, David of the home; sons, Alan (Debbie) of Oakboro, Brad of Concord, and Eric (Debbie) of New Zealand. Claudette also has three grandsons and seven great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Brookdale Clare Bridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to: Hospice of Indian Trail, NC which helped with her care, or Baptist Children’s Home which was very important to her.
