Clyde Bryson

Clyde “Dean” Bryson, PhD, 65, of 705 East Sunrise Ave., Thomasville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm. The funeral will follow in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Rev. Richard E. Clayton, Jr. will officiate and the burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. Born March 26, 1947 in Glenville, NC, he was the son of Clyde Bryson of Richfield, NC and the late Frances Evelyn Green Bryson. He was also preceded in death by his wife Florene Carpenter Bryson. In addition to his father, he is survived by sisters, Connie Bryson of Richfield and Nita Miller and husband Warren, of Richfield and Freida Wyatt and husband Roger of Athens, GA. He was a loving and devoted Son, Brother, Husband, Uncle, and Friend to many. Dean graduated with an AB degree from Pfeiffer College in 1969. He received his PhD in pharmacology from Mercer University in Macon, GA. He was a pharmacist since graduating from Mercer University, serving several communities, most recently at Elder Drug in High Point, NC. He was a member or Hamburg Baptist Church in Glenville, NC and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Dean reached out to so many people. He will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him. He enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor for 4 ½ years. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Bryson family.
