Clyde Burleyson

Clyde Daniel Burleyson, 91, of Concord, NC, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast, Concord, NC. Mr. Burleyson was born March 21, 1919, in Cabarrus County, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Blackwelder Burleyson; father, Daniel Webster Burleyson; mother, Nancy Morris Burleyson; five brothers and two sisters. He was a fixer in Cannon Mills until he retired and an avid camper. Visitation will be Saturday, October 2, Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, 6 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Sunday, 2:00, in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord, Rev. Marvin Goodnight officiating. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. Survivors include daughters, Doris Johnson and husband, Bill, and Diane Bonds and husband, Gene, all of Concord; sisters, Aleine Reding of Atlanta, GA, Liddie Rayfield of Concord, Ruth Turner of Oakboro, and Juanita Burleyson of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jody Johnson and Chad Bonds and wife, Julie; great-grandchildren Jeremy and Jacob Johnson, Carter Bonds, and Lydia and Haley Bradford.
