Colean Johnson

Colean Susie Johnson, age 80, of Britthaven Nursing Home died quietly at 1:45 p.m. on June 25, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 21, 1929 in Montgomery County, NC. She attended Stoney Fork Baptist Church, Mt. Gilead. She was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Johnson and the late Lula Rena (Tucker) Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Colon Johnson. She is survived by her Brother-Graham Johnson and wife Freida Johnson of Oakboro, N.C. Sisters-Mildred Hudson of Mt. Gilead, N.C., Elgie Kearns of Troy, N.C., Doris Lowder of Albemarle, N.C. and sister-in-law Sarah Johnson of Albemarle, NC and nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, June 27, 2009. Funeral service will be at Stoney Fork Baptist Church, Mt. Gilead, NC at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 28, 2009 ,with a 30 minute state. Rev. Johnny Gardner and Rev. Terry Burris officiating. Interment will be at Stoney Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Gilead, N.C. Memorials may be made to: Stoney Fork Baptist Church, 175 Stoney Fork Church Rd, Mt.Gilead, NC 27306 or charity of ones choice.
