Connie Carpenter

Connie Lee Litaker Carpenter, 85, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at home. The family will receive friends at Center United Methodist Church, 1119 Union Street South, Concord, NC, 28025, on Saturday, May 26, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Tony Allen, will follow in the church at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Connie was born on May 3, 1927, to the late Oscar William Litaker and the late Lomie Sides Litaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Carpenter; two brothers, Aubrey Litaker and Carl Litaker; and one sister, Juanita Lefler. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Loeb and her husband Jonathon of Concord; three sisters, Julia Litaker, Kathleen Litaker and Marie Litaker all of Concord; and two grandchildren, Amanda and Steven Loeb. Memorials may be made to Center United Methodist Church at the address above. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Carpenter family.
