Connie Kennedy

Connie Mae Furr Kennedy, 82, of Concord, NC passed away on April 6, 2011 at Morningside of Concord. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 9 from 10-11 AM at Hartsell Funeral Home – Albemarle. The service will begin at 11 AM in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakboro. Rev. Farrell Shimpock will officiate. Mrs. Kennedy was born in Stanly County on December 13, 1928 to the late John and Pearl Furr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Ray Kennedy; sons, Jim Ray Kennedy Jr., Robert Steven Kennedy; brothers, Harold Furr Lloyd Furr, Edgar Furr; and sister, Gladys Cranford. Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her daughter, Linda Kennedy Kimery and husband Dale of Albemarle; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to The Gardens at Morningside Assisted Living, 500 Penny Lane NE, Concord, NC 28025. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Kennedy family.
