Connor Volz

Connor Payton James Volz, 18, of Concord, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2012, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service, officiated by Rev Jeff Rushing, will be held at Westford United Methodist Church, 273 Highway 49 S, Concord, NC on Friday, January 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. At other times the family will meet at the home. Connor was born on September 23, 1993. He is survived by his mother, Tamara Lea Norman and husband, Don; an older brother, William Brendan Lee Volz; a step-sister, Amanda Norman; two step-brothers, Christopher and Nicholas Norman; grandparents, Maynard and Audrey Ferry and Marvin and Jane Norman. He was a junior at Central Cabarrus High School. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force ROTC program and won numerous awards. Connor was a very talented artist. His work was recently displayed at an art show at UNCC, Cabarrus County School System’s main office and all throughout Central Cabarrus High School.
