Corita Purcell

Mrs. Corita Hallman Purcell, 78, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at CMC-NorthEast . A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 2 PM at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The Rev. Robert McMahan will officiate. Mrs. Purcell was born March 10, 1931 in Cabarrus County to the late William Edward Hallman and the late Arttie Ledbetter Hallman. She was a homemaker and a member of the Protestant faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her firstborn son, Arthur J. Purcell, Jr. Left with cherished memories are her husband of 57 years, Arthur J. Purcell, Sr.; daughter Caroline R. Purcell; sons Dean Purcell and wife Sylvia and Charles Purcell and wife Cynthia; brothers William Hallman and wife Elsie, Jimmy Hallman and wife Pat, Larry Hallman, and Daniel Hallman and wife Jackie; sisters Gloria Bergey and husband Dean and Sylvia Bagby; step-grandson Jeremy Wilcox and wife Kerianne; step-great-grandchildren Tucker and Lillie; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 222 S.
