Cory Welzant

Cory Edwards Welzant, 67 years of age, of Wexford Plantation, Hilton Head Island, S.C., died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, after a long illness.
Cory was born February 2, 1948 in Anson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Edith Edwards of Polkton.
Survivors include her husband, Lt. Colonel Charles Welzant; a special caregiver, Reyna Carroll; other caregivers, Hector Contreras and Rosy Hernandez; sister, Mary Anne Frost; niece, Ann Kingrey and her family; and nephew, Stephen Dennis and his family.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Wightman United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4062 Wightman Church Road, Polkton, NC.
