Cular Solomon

Cular Dorton Solomon, 81 years of age, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his home in Albemarle. Mr. Solomon was born March 14, 1931 in Stanly County to the late Lonnie Vance Solomon and Esther Mauldin Solomon. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Edith Geneva Griffin Solomon, in March of 1991; his sister, Colleen McSwain; and his brother, Leonard Solomon. He was a member of Dunns Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, June 3, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Albemarle officiated by Rev. Wayne Austin and Rev. Ron Honeycutt. Burial will follow in the Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Albemarle. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his daughter, Regina Farmer and her husband, Scotty, of Albemarle; his sons, Doug Solomon and his wife, Linda, of Misenheimer and Jeff Solomon and his wife, Sunday, of New London; his sister, Onarah Efird, of Randleman; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Solomon family.
