Curtis Tucker

Curtis Eugene Tucker, Sr, 86, of Locust, entered the Gates of Heaven Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis with family at his side.

He was born October 17, 1928 in Stanly County to the late Clarence O. and Myrtle S. Tucker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Mary L. Biggers Tucker. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, James and Joel; four sisters, Grace, Bessie, Beulah and Cleona; and a daughter in law, Nancy B. Tucker.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church, 617 Bethel Church Road, Locust officiated by Rev. Charlie Littlejohn. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends following the burial in the fellowship hall.

Curtis is survived by sons, Curtis Tucker, Jr. of Locust, Ronald and wife Trisha Tucker of Denver, NC and Jerry and wife Angie Tucker of Locust; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Mr. Tucker is known for his integrity, love of family and sense of humor. Curtis was a life long member of Bethel Baptist Church and served in many capacities.
