Cynthia Hopson

Cynthia “Cindy” Rae Conner Hopson, 53, of Midland, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Hopson was born October 4, 1958, in Mecklenburg County to the late Gerald Ray Conner and Sarah Wall Johnson of Midland. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov.15, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be at 11 am, Wednesday, in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland, officiated by Rev. Harry Queen. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens of Charlotte. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Jess Hopson of the home; her daughter, Joanna Hopson of Charlotte; her brother, Clifford Johnson of Chester, SC; and her sisters, Leisa Johnson of Chester, SC and Mandy Cantrell of Kannapolis. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 6440 Old Statesville Road, Charlotte, NC 28269. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Hopson family.
