Cynthia Lee Smith, 61 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at her home.
Cindy was born January 1, 1956 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John and Lillian Lenert.
Cindy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and follower of Christ.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday, February 27 at West Cabarrus Church, 7655 Bruton Smith Blvd, Concord, NC. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm officiated by Dr. Terry Faulkenbury and Dr. Dan Burrell. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
Survivors include husband, Richard Smith of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Rebekah Heilman of Concord, NC, and Heather Kay of Charlotte, NC; and grandchildren Hannah, Lilly, Emma and Olivia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Cabarrus Church or The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund of Levine Cancer Institute through Carolinas Healthcare Foundation.
