Daisy Pauline Aycock Long 86 of Concord, NC passed away on Friday August 14, 2009 at Five Qaks Manor in Concord. The family will receive friends on Monday August 17, 2009 at 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home-Concord The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Navey officiating. Burial will folllow at West Concord Cemetery Concord, NC. Mrs. Long was born on September 03, 1922 in Cabarrus County to the late William Alonzo Aycock and the late Maggie Drusilla (Helms) Aycock. She was a retired winder for Cannon Mills and was a member of Eva Drive Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, William Ray Long & wife Ann of Rockwell, NC son, Larry Wayne Beaver & wife Nancy of China Grove, NC sister, Betty Willis Salisbury, NC sister, Edna Liles Pleasant Grove, AL daughter-in-law, Elaine Beaver Kannapolis, NC special neice, Irene Mann Kannapolis, NC ten grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Long, son, Jay "Junior" Beaver, son, James Edward Long, sisters, Mae Barbee, Callie Simpson, and Carrie Porter, brothers, Sam Reeder, Jim Aycock, and Joe Aycock.
