Dallas Tarlton
February 3, 1925 — October 4, 2017
Dallas "Raeford” Tarlton, 92, of Monroe, NC, died Wednesday evening October 4, 2017 after an extended illness at home with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Tarlton was born February 3, 1925 in Monroe, NC to the late William Lumas and Dora Idella (Williams) Tarlton.
He was also preceded in death by his four brothers, Oscar, Wilson, Boyce and Charles Tarlton and his two sisters, Odell Edwards and Alma Smith.
On November 30, 1946 in Lancaster, SC, he married his loving wife of 70 years the former Jessie (Baucom) Tarlton who survives.
Other survivors include his devoted two daughters, Wanda (Delane) Mullis of Monroe and Janice (Ira) Meggs of Marshville; two sons, Steve (Mary) Tarlton of Monroe and Tim (Nikki) Tarlton of Surfside Beach, SC. Also surviving are ten loving grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Joan) Tarlton of Monroe and two sisters, Rachel Blackmon of Monroe and Lanelle (Maurice) Richardson of Monroe, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Shiloh Advent Christian Church, 3601 Sikes Mill Road, Monroe, NC, with Rev. Travis Hutcheson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Raeford will forever be missed by his loving and devoted family and many dear friends. May God grant him eternal rest.
