Daniel Johnson

Daniel Henry Johnson, age 78, of Concord, N.C., died Sunday, August 2, 2009, at CMC - University in Charlotte, N.C. Mr. Johnson served in the US Air Force from 1950 until 1954. He was a member of New Harvest Church-Harrisburg. Mr. Johnson retired from CIGNA Insurance Company after 25 years of service and from Aetna Insurance Company with 9 years of service. Mr. Johnson was an Elder of his church and also an usher. He was a member of The Harrisburg Lions Club for over 20 years. Born in Guilford County on March 4, 1931 he was the son of the late Garland Daniel Johnson and the late Blanche Viola (Norwood) Johnson. He is survived by his wife Gloria H. Johnson, of the home Son-David Johnson & wife Nancy of Concord, NC Son-Kevin Johnson of Harrisburg, NC Son-Steven Johnson & wife Carrie of Huntersville, NC Grandchildren-Autumn, Forrest, Danae, Elizabeth, Sarah, & Acadia. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Funeral service will be at New Harvest Church 7155 Hickory Ridge Road Harrisburg, NC 28075 at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 6, 2009 , with a 30 Min. state and Rev. Mike Parks and Rev. David Giles will officiate.
