Danielle Griffin

Danielle Linda Little Griffin, 71, of Locust, NC, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast, Concord, NC. Danielle was born April 3, 1939, in Stanly County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Griffin; father, Raymon Boyd Little; mother, Mary Elizabeth Harkey Little; son, Steve Whitley; and brothers, Robert and Richard Little. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 3, 6 – 8 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral will be Thursday, 2:00, at First Baptist of Stanfield, with a 30 minute state. Rev. Bruce League will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at the home of Deanna Freeman, 412 S. Central Avenue, Locust. Survivors include son, Rick Whitley and wife, Laura, of Locust; daughter Melissa Carpenter and husband, Stacey, of Japan; grandchildren, Amber, Dustin, Keeland, Brian, and Amy; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Whitley of Midland, Deanna Freeman of Locust, Doris Moore of Midland, and Dene Efird of Stanfield; and brothers, Raymon Little of Locust and Ronald Little of Unionville.
