Danny Whitley

Dan Edward Whitley II, 46, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Stanfield.

Dan Whitley was born July 8, 1975 in North Carolina to Sandra Whitley.

Beloved and amazing dad to Connor, Jaydan, and Kendall Whitley of Stanfield, NC. Dan is also survived by his mom, Sandy Lynch Whitley (Stanfield), brother William Brian Whitley (Charlotte), and fiancée Amy Tressler (Aliquippa, PA) along with her daughter Alyvia. Dan is also survived by his children, Joshua, Danny, and Morgan all of South Carolina.

Dan’s life was all about his children and family. They were the center of his life. Nothing was more important to him than his kids. He spent many years coaching youth league football and baseball in Stanfield touching many lives as Coach Dan, but family was always first for him. He grew up in the Pittsburgh, PA area and remained a Steelers diehard fan. Dan leaves behind a huge extended family including his close Aunt Colleen Messmer and daughter Amanda, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. To be loved by Dan meant you were special. There is nothing that will ever fill the void caused by his passing. Rest In Peace Dan, you were a great father, son, brother and man on this earth. Your legacy will live on through your kids!

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, 6-8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Ave., Midland, NC and later in Pittsburgh, PA for internment.
