Danny King

Danny Clark King, age 57 of 34064 Rosebud Lane, NC 28001, passed away on May 24, 2010 at his home. Born in Wayne County, NC on July 02, 1952, he was the son of the late Claxton James King and the late Wilma Ellen Harrell King. He was a supervisor for Traffic Services, Division 10, NCDOT and a member of the State Employees Association of North Carolina. He served in the US Air Force for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Japarks King of the home; son, Danny Clark King, Jr. and wife Candice of Mobile, Alabama; daughter, Jennifer Runion and husband Stephen of Albemarle; brother, Jimmy King of Winston-Salem; sisters Janice Lockamy of Dunn, and Melba Dail of Goldsboro, and Peggy Myatt of Raleigh, and 6 grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Faith Freewill Baptist Church with a 30 minute state, Rev. Sam Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Military honors graveside by Albemarle-Stanly County, DAV Chapter 12. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St. Albemarle, NC 28001.
