Danny Keith Smith, 53, of Concord passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Born on December 1, 1957 in Springfield Illinois. Mr. Smith was a Senior Application Developer for Duke Energy in Charlotte. He was preceded in death by a daughter Erica Nicole Smith. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 5 until 7 PM. Funeral services will follow at 7 PM in the chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Gibbs officiating. Survived by: wife, Kim Cross Smith of the home; daughter, Stephanie Marie Smith of Charlotte, NC; parents, Edgar and Edith Reynolds Smith of Virden, Ill; brother, David Ray Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters, Susan Kay McMahan of Thayer, IL and Sherry Jean Smith of Normal, IL.
