Darryl Wayne "DJ" Green, Jr., age 30 of 208 Holt Rd, Albemarle, NC, passed away on April 15, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. He was born in Stanly County on May 14, 1979. He is survived by his father Darryl Wayne Green, Sr.;his mother, Irma June Smith Hedrick and step-father, Mark Hedrick of New London; son, Jayden Green of the home; daughter, Brittany Green of New London; step-sister, Ashley Clark of South Carolina; half-sisters, Jennifer Green, Courtney Green and Kaitlyn Green; fiancée, Jennifer Holt and daughter, Jordan of Albemarle; maternal-grandparents, Etta Smith and the late Robert Smith of Albemarle; maternal-step grandparents, James and Jean Hedrick of Albemarle. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 6:00 PM 8:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, 522 N. 2nd Albemarle NC. with minister Rev. Roger Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery, Albemarle, NC The family will meet at the home of his mother, Irma Hedrick, 4764 Airport Rd, New London, NC.
