David Barbee, Sr.

David Wayne Barbee, Sr., 75, of Concord, NC passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

David was born May 24, 1944 in Concord, NC to the late Buford Samuel Barbee and the late Annie Lee Helms Barbee.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edith Faye Barbee in 2005; daughter, Penny Denise Julian; brother, Ricky Barbee; sisters, Katherine Barbee and Peggy Barbee.

Survivors include daughter, Sherry L. Smothers and husband Terry; son, Wayne Barbee and wife Sara; son, Joe Morris and wife Trisha; son in law, Ricky Julian; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Also two brothers Sterling Barbee, and Ronnie Barbee.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Jason Brown.  Mr. Barbee will be laid to rest in West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord, following the funeral.
