Mr. David Oliver Harmon, 62, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. He was born on January 7, 1948 in Nassau County, NY to the late Harry Neville Harmon and the late Jean Louise Hall Harmon. A memorial service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 am. Masonic rites will be conducted in the chapel following the memorial service. A visitation will be held at the Union Masonic Lodge # 618, 9650 Hwy 601, Midland, NC 28107, from 12:30 until 3:00 pm. He is survived by his wife, Beth Adrienne Clark Harmon, of the home; son, David William Harmon, of Charlotte; daughters, Jordana Jean Harmon, of Charlotte and Angela Lynn Corti, of Kannapolis; sisters, Roxanne Collard and Judy Liden, both of Colorado; grandchildren, Ty’lee Jordan Thammavongsa and Sebastian Tyler Corti. Mr. Harmon was a retired engineer with I.B.M. He was a member of the Newell Masonic Lodge # 739 and Union Masonic Lodge # 618. He was a charter member of the Knights of Soloman Lodge # 764. Mr. Harmon was also a Shriner and a member of the Mecklenburg Shrine Club. He was the vice president of the Piedmont Shag Association. He was a member of the NRA and the National H.O.G. He was the president of the Yellow House Gang. David was also a proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders. Mr. Harmon was an U.S. Navy veteran. He served two tours in Vietnam from 1968 1969 and 1971 1972 and received three purple hearts.
