David Joseph "Dave" Marx, son of Martin John Marx and the late Patricia Pellegrino Marx, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Saint Timothy's Catholic School and was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia. He was baptized at St. Matthew's Rectory.
Dave joined the United States Army after graduating high school. He served three years of active duty and was a member of The National Guard for twelve years. He was also a volunteer firefighter in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania where he formerly lived and raised his children.
Dave is survived by his former spouse and mother of his children, Beverly Marx, daughter, Heather McAllister (Shane), daughter, Lauren Brafford (Jeremy), son, Joshua Marx (Abby), father, Martin Marx, sister, Francine Miller (Andrew), sister, Bernadine Buckley (Wayne), brother, Martin Marx (Mary), sister, Patricia Ann Kennedy (Mark), and ten grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Marx and grandson, John Gunner McAllister.
Dave loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, camping, baking, painting, music, and was an art enthusiast. Dave's family remembers him as being fun-loving and goofy and always having the ability to make the ones around him laugh. His loss is deeply felt by all who loved him.
