David Nicholas

David Gordon Nicholas, 91 years of age, of Locust, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Brian Center in Concord.

David was born September 16, 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Nicholas Jannicola and the late Rose Romano Jannicola. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Nicholas, Victoria, Albert, Madlyn, and Theodore.

There are no services at this time.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Winifred Elizabeth Tenhengel Nicholas of Locust; nephews, David Tenhengel and wife Nancy of Stanfield, and Timothy Mark Tenhengel and wife Annegret of Pineville.

He served his country honorably in Europe during WWII in the 8th Air Force. He studied law at Seton Hall. He worked as a field representative for various companies, including Armstrong Brothers Tool Company, Creighton Shirts, Stetson Hat Company, and Carolina Truck Trader.
