David Penninger

Mr. David Wayne Penninger, 73, of Concord, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013. He was born February 11, 1940, in Charlotte, to the late Mac and Virginia Baker Penninger. In addition to his parents, Mr. Penninger was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Baker and his step-son, Steven Annas. He was an active member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, often giving of his time by driving the bus for senior outings, being in charge of the annual fish fry and by playing Santa every year for the children. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 with Dr. Kendal Mobley and Justin Curry officiating. Mr. Penninger is survived by his; wife, Nancy Connell Penninger; daughters, Tracey Price and her husband Todd and Kathy Vaughn; step-son, Michael Annas and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Sydney and Ava Price, Natalie and Harrison Vaughn, Nancy Redinger and Doug and Brittany Annas; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Marlene Klutz, Maxine Snyder, Levonne Cunningham and Sheila Robinson.
