Debora Jean Eury

Debora Jean Eury, 63, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle.

Deb was born October 26, 1960, in North Carolina to the late Joseph Lee Whitley, Sr. and Phyllis Rebecca Whitley. 
She was also preceded in death by husband, Tony Eugene Eury, sisters; Barbara Pinkston, Vivian Whitley, Donna Hathcock, and Linda Turner, brothers; Joe Whitley, Jr., Phillip Whitley, and Baby Boy Whitley. 

She was a caregiver at Christy Woods in Mount Pleasant for many years. Deb was selfless and always caring for others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and sitting at the beach. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, November 27, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Gleaning Mission Church of Oakboro, officiated by Pastor Wesley Barbee. Burial will follow at Red Cross Baptist Church Cemetery, 112 W. Red Cross Road, Oakboro.

Survivors include son, Adam Lee Eury, sisters; Teresa Layton, Rita Simpson (Thomas), Lisa Liles (Randy), Julie Shue (Randy), and brothers; Tommy Whitley(Linda), John Whitley(Kathy), and Paul Whitley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
