Deborah Mauldin

Deborah Hendrix Mauldin, 73, a native of the Concord area, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at her residence in Concord.

Mrs. Mauldin was born January 11, 1950, in Concord, North Carolina to the late Arthur Ray Hendrix and the late Tessie Morgan Hendrix.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Michael Mauldin Sr., and sister, Wanda (Sue) Honeycutt.

Her relationship with Jesus was so important to her. She loved going to Cherokee, NC, and Pigeon Forge, TN. She had a passion for working puzzles and enjoyed being around her children and grandchildren. Deborah retired after working many years for the Cabarrus County School System as a cafeteria worker.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday, June 26 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord located at 460 Branchview Drive NE. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 1 pm, in the chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home Concord. The services will be officiated by Reverend Gary Posey. The burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.

Survivors include daughter Jennifer Mauldin, Granddaughter Shyann Brafford, Son Michael Mauldin, Jr. and Grandson Mason Mauldin, Daughter Amy (Kenny) Bolton, and Granddaughter Kendall Bolton. Also surviving are sisters, Beverly Cuzzen, Marsha Hendrix, and Vickie Gray, and brothers, Timothy Hendrix, and Billy Hendrix.
