Debra Smith

Debra Gail Smith, 55, of New London, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

Ms. Smith was born July 13, 1964 to the late Joyce Gail Smith and father. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her brother.

Debra worked as a correctional officer in Troy. She was an exceptional employee where she earned several awards and accommodations.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at 2:00 PM at the Bell Tower in the Stanly Gardens of Memory, located at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Debra is survived by, son, Ray Smith; grandchildren, Greyland Smith, Suzana Smith; two sisters, Renae Seabolt, Martha Smith; one brother, Jeff Smith and nephew, Adam Wilson.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Smith family.
