Dennie Sasser, Jr

Dennie Alvin Sasser, Jr. age 71 of 30273-A Red Hill Rd, Albemarle passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at his home. He was born July 1, 1939 in Stanly County, NC to the late Dennie Alvin Sasser, Sr., and Rosada Bunn Sasser. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Sasser and Adell Sasser and sister Verona (Tootsie) Burleson. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nanette Sides Sasser of the home; sons, Mike Sasser and wife Cindy of New London, Mark Sasser and his wife Tammy of New London, Matt Sasser and wife Cynthia of Albemarle; sisters, Pearlene Knight of Monroe, Anita Dennis of Porter, Gay Harkey of Norwood, Paulette Dixon of Oakboro and Monica Garland of Albemarle; seven granddaughters, two great granddaughters and one great grandson. Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. Rev. Darrell Thompson will officiate. Burial will be at Plyer Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation Mid-South, 1010 June Rd, and Suite 101, Memphis, TN. 38119 or any local children’s charity.
