Dewey Dillon Hopkins

Dewey Dillon Hopkins, 97, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Veteran's Home in Salisbury, NC.

Dewey was born August 25, 1927 in North Carolina to the late William Alexander Hopkins and the late Emma Mae Drye Hopkins. 

He was also preceded in death by wife of 65 years, Vera Hatley Hopkins; grandson, Justin Matthew Archer; sister, Allene Hall; and brothers, Ernest Hopkins, Alvin Hopkins, Donald Hopkins, Robert Hopkins, Elmer Hopkins, and Elvin Hopkins.

 The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Boyd Joyce. Burial will immediately follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include daughters, Melissa H. Archer of Albemarle, NC and Wanda (Danny) Griffin of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren, Megan Archer, Baylee Saddler, Caleb Griffin, and Emily Griffin; sisters, Ruth Goss of Albemarle, NC and Lucy Helms of Albemarle, NC.
