Diane Estes

Diane Marie (Doyon) Estes, 74, of Charlotte, NC passed away Friday, June 10, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC.

Diane was born May 5, 1948 in Norwich, Connecticut to the late Armand Theodore Doyon and the late Theresa Grace (Darche) Doyon.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Bruce Andre Estes; daughter, Melanie Estes of Berne, NY; son, Matthew Estes and wife Amy of Harrisburg, NC; grandsons, Cameron and Samuel Estes; brother, Dennis Doyon of Nova Scotia; as well as two nephews; and her beloved dog Millie.

Diane was an avid hiker and reader, as well as a former mountain bike and dirt bike enthusiast.  She adored her grandsons and cherished playing with them for hours on end.  Diane was a fantastic cook who could provide a delicious feast at moments notice.  She enjoyed road trips with her husband and their dog Millie, no matter what the destination was to be.  She was an endless supporter of all her family's ambitions and dreams, including dancing, running and mountain bike races.  Diane will be dearly missed by her family and all those who knew her and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC.  A private burial will take place at a later date.
