Diane Townsend Morgan
June 18, 1947 - March 15, 2016

Diane T. Morgan of Stanfield, NC passed away at home on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the age of 68.

Diane was born to the late Raymond Sims Townsend and the late Margaret Crosby Townsend in Valdosta, Georgia.

Some of the many things that Diane can be remembered for was her love of cooking, her Elvis and Barbie collections and her beautiful rose garden. Many will remember her as a cook for the Curve-In located in Locust, where they always wanted to know if Diane was in the kitchen.

Mrs. Morgan leaves behind many loved ones. Survivors include, husband of 35 years, Don Morgan of the home; four daughters, Margie Moore and husband, Chris of Red Cross, Gloria Greer and husband, Randy of Lenoir, Sondra Morgan of Wichita, Kansas, and Michelle Oldham and husband, Rodney of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Ray Taylor and wife, Carla of Buford, GA; nine grandchildren, Ashlee Morgan, Diana Stevens, Michael Cramer, Timothy Cramer and Austin Cramer, David Buchanan, Brittney Taylor, Megan Price and Emily Price; four great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Townsend and wife, Nell of Concord; one surviving uncle, Joeseph Crosby of Valdosta, GA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. Pastor Jim Howard will be officiating Mrs. Morgan's funeral service at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland. She will be put to rest at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home.

Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Cramer, Timothy Cramer, Austin Cramer, Ray Taylor, Chris Moore, and Randy Greer. Honorary Pallbearers are Diana Stevens, Brittney Taylor, and Emily Price.
