Donald Addis

Donald Pierce Addis, 61, of 826 Silver Fox Drive, Concord, NC passed away on May 15, 2011 at his home in Concord. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 17 from 6-8 PM at Concord First Assembly. The service will be held Wednesday, May 18 at 4 PM at the church. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Dr. Rick Ross and Pastor Tom Whidden will officiate the services. Mr. Addis was born in Spartanburg, SC on December 26, 1949 to the late Roy and Carrie Addis. During his life, Mr. Addis was an active member of Concord First Assembly, serving as a Board member, and assisted with the Children’s Ministry program. He served as the Band Director at Central Cabarrus High School and Barnwell High School in South Carolina. He was the assistant band director at USC and was involved with the color guard. He was also a salesman of a vast array of products. Mr. Addis is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Anne Matthews Addis; sons, Matthew Addis and wife Jennifer; Christopher Addis; daughter, Kaity Addis; brothers, Johnny Addis and wife Kim, Tom Addis and wife Carol, Jimmy Addis and wife Stephanie; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Memorials may be made to First Assembly Kingdom Builders Fund, 150 Warren C Coleman Boulevard, Concord, NC 28025.
